I’m currently in my fourth year of being a Division II long and triple jumper. I started running track at age 10, and primarily was a 400m sprinter (and occasional long jumper) all the way through high school. Competing for the University of Findlay has given me the opportunity to focus on being exclusively a jumper, and truly learn the techniques that each event requires. I’m only 3.5 years in out of the 10 years it takes to achieve mastery in a skill. I plan to utilize my COVID eligibility and compete for a fifth year for the Oilers, while obtaining my Master of Art in Professional Communications.
