Entrepreneurship Mentoring for Women at Universities

Critical Evaluation:

The authors of the scholarly article consist of an assistant professor and her PhD candidate student. Together in 2022, the two women performed a study following the peer-mentoring method with 20 female students. Their goal was to discover if and how mentorship affects the ambitions and motivation of a female student. In their findings, Huszák and Oborni discovered that trust, commitment, motivation, and openness were necessary aspects within forming a positive entrepreneurial mentorship. This discovery is in line with other similar research. Additionally, this specific article highlighted how higher education institutions have the opportunity to acquire formal mentorship programs that would allow young women specifically to acquire practical entrepreneurial experience prior to graduation. This would not only spark more of a desire, create a higher priority of action, but also assist in the formation of lifelong relationships. This article and study is fairly simple in scientific terms, however, it may be seen as long and slightly confusing to the average individual.
